Less is More - Decorating through Cleaning

Saturday, February 6, 2010

Ever heard the saying "less is more." It's amazing how seldom we apply that to home decor. More can often lead to clutter and a room feeling "overstuffed" as well as making it much more difficult to KEEP a room the way you have created it. Less can actually lead to more in terms of style, organization and overall look.

It's hard to establish focal points when there are hundreds of things to look at. In order to create an impact while improving a room's overall function, consider grouping like items into a single collection, discarding (through donation or gifting to friends and family) unnecessary pieces or storing items away and rotating them keep the room fresh.
