"Is it home yet?" Home furnishings campaign to begin Monday

Monday, August 24, 2009

The $20 million dollar campaign being spearheaded by The World Market Center, designed to spur home furnishing and decor purchases, is scheduled to begin on Monday.

The campaign, which includes a variety of media applications, takes the concept of "Is it home yet?" by focusing on the emotional qualities of a home (vs. a house), steering away from the financial aspects of "investing in real estate" and instead focusing on the concept of investing in "home and family."

The hope is that the campaign will offset recent declines in home decor and furniture spending, due to the economic downturn.
